There are a few things that we need to discuss as the league moves forward this season.  Primarily, our Treasurer has been hospitalized.  Please keep Debbie in your thoughts and prayers as she recovers.  Her health is more important than the league and we will be pulling for her.  If needs be we will call a special meeting to put someone in her place until she is ready to get back out there.

I have only received one Roster.  There is a team turning in another on Monday.  We want to welcome them back as they have been gone from the league for a couple years.  To help improve team signups, I will be handing out Rosters and posters to every bar and club on Tuesday night.  This, of course, will push back the signups by a few days.  The new deadline to turn in a team roster will be Friday, June 6th.  This should still give me enough time to print and distribute the Captain’s packets as scheduled.  The deadline has been updated on the calendar.  So if you want to turn in a hard copy or do not have a computer or fax, just meet up with us at your home location.

Saturday morning I went out to bring back the envelopes I was missing and get the stats at least up to date.  Since I was out and I finally had a day off, I figured I might as well get this Friday's envelopes as well.  So it’s Sunday and all the stats are current and up to date. Normally, I did stats and delivered them Friday so all players could see how they did last week when they showed up to play this week’s games.  I did this for several reasons.

One, if I dropped off stats earlier that Friday just before we played, they would magically disappear before players ever had a chance to see them.  Then I would get tons of calls asking where the stats were.  In fact, if I drop them off too early on Friday I have the same problem.  If the bartender I drop them off to is not the same bartender that servers the pool players on Friday night then there is a large chance that they will be lost.

The Arizona Corporation Commission now has our paperwork on file. We have not received our final paper work from them but we are in the process. Under the main menu as "League and Site Contacts" you can see all the contacts for the Service Clubs Charity Pool League of Kingman, or you can click here.  If you have any questions or information to pass on please contact one of these people.

I wanted to make sure and let everyone know what is going on. I was on a working vacation for the ACS Nationals from May 10th to May 16th in Las Vegas at the Tropicana. If you have never been to one of these events, I recommend going just for what you will see and learn. People who love to play pool from all over the world come together to play. During this time, wonderful people who try to help as much as possible were picking up the envelopes.

Tuesday night's Captain meeting brought some big changes to the dual sanctioned BCAPL/ACS league. First, officers have been put in place to help with the problems we have been have in the league, the officers contact info can be found listed under "League and Site Contacts" in the main menu or by clicking here. It was brought to our attention that some people were not getting the information about the leagues in a timely manner.
