With the holidays upon us, it was decided at the captain's meeting that we should take the holidays off.  We have a lot of people that like to travel and see family.  Or, maybe your family cooks together over the holidays.  I know we do.  We even like to go out and take pictures of the lights.  So if I don't see you that much, have a happy holiday season no matter how you spend it.  And, we will all see each other again in January.

Please make notes to as any corrections, missing names, or charities on the score sheet so they can be updated online and in the standings.  Thanks again for all your help.

Start thinking of your sportsmanship awards now.  In a few weeks the voting sheet will be out.  Don't just grab the first name that comes to your head.  Think about who went with the flow and caused no problems.  We really do want to reward people that can have a good time and not be seen as a detriment to the league or the clubs we play in.  We are also looking at MVP and Most Improved player awards for this season.  Keep up the good work and get recognized.

Thanks again and I'll see you all on the tables.

Here is to hoping you have a wonderful Holiday Season.  After my vacation, not only was I stuffed from all the food, but my desk was stuffed with things I want to do.  So while I was gone we built up four weeks of standings.  Within a couple days all envelopes were collected, money was deposited, and standing were updated.  Thanks to all that help make that happen.  Now you can check out how you have been doing while you fill yourselves with holiday food.

There are a few issues.  We still have some makeup games that need to be scheduled.  And a couple forfeits that were not turned in.  These can make the scores look lopsided because the weeks are not right.  It should all work out around 16 weeks, which is when the standings become official.  One week past the half way point is what the league requires to qualify for awards and standings.

On another note, I would like to say thank you for the Tack Shed and their Sunday tournament.  Twenty plus players and it pulls new and old players and helps the league grow as well.  Everyone looked like they were having a great time and no one has to stay and do the long hours for no pay.  Best of both worlds.  We could use more places like this that support pool and the players.

Mark has put a halt on the league.  Teams were dropping and we can't change and distribute a new schedule every couple days.  So he decided to start over with a new schedule.  The proposed start date is January 2nd.  As soon as we have a new schedule it will be posted here on the website.

The standings have been updated for week nine of the Service Clubs Charity Pool League of Kingman.  Not much happening in the league but the holidays will be upon us soon.  This also means that I will be gone a lot of the time.  For the rest on November I will be in and out.  It will improve for December but I will be behind from all the stuff I will miss in November.  It may be hard to reach me until after the holidays.  Hopefully everyone can do without the standings for a few weeks.  As I come and go from my travels I will update what I can but from here out it is gonna get spotty.  I hope to see you all soon.

Scotch doubles is starting on Monday the 7th.  This Monday Mark dropped all packets at each teams home location and they are now available for pickup.  He also delivered the location schedules to the clubs so they should be expecting you.

Good Luck for the long season ahead and I'll see you on the tables.
