Once again Mark did not receive an envelope for the team that was to receive the forfeit.  At the half way point we can turn this into a BYE.  But, right now every team has not played them at least once.  This is why we have the forfeit in place.  So it is fair to all teams.  If you do not pay for your forfeit you can not receive your average plus 10% and you will be at a disadvantage from the teams that played them or received the forfeit.  It puts each played up to forty points behind and teams up to 160 points behind.  Please turn in any envelopes with in 24 hours of your scheduled match so you do not miss out on any points.

The Senior Center on Airway has received a table but they need our help moving it.  It takes three or four at the most.  Let the seniors have fun will pool and help move the table this Sunday.  Anyone interested can call me at 928-692-0739 extension 700.  Thanks to all of you that do what you can to help.

The last couple weeks, an envelope has not been turned in for the weekly forfeit.  On the schedule, on this site, there are two teams that dropped out.  In their place, is a BYE or a FORFEIT.  The BYE is a team that left before the start of the league and there are no scores so nothing to even out.  The FORFEIT is a team that left after 3 weeks of scoring had already been entered.  So the forfeits need to even out the money and scores for all teams to be fair.  But if you don't pay for the FORFEIT you will not get the forfeited games added to your score.  And that is your average plus 10%.  Don't miss out on these points.

With the holidays upon us, it was decided at the captain's meeting that we should take the holidays off.  We have a lot of people that like to travel and see family.  Or, maybe your family cooks together over the holidays.  I know we do.  We even like to go out and take pictures of the lights.  So if I don't see you that much, have a happy holiday season no matter how you spend it.  And, we will all see each other again in January.

Please make notes to as any corrections, missing names, or charities on the score sheet so they can be updated online and in the standings.  Thanks again for all your help.

Start thinking of your sportsmanship awards now.  In a few weeks the voting sheet will be out.  Don't just grab the first name that comes to your head.  Think about who went with the flow and caused no problems.  We really do want to reward people that can have a good time and not be seen as a detriment to the league or the clubs we play in.  We are also looking at MVP and Most Improved player awards for this season.  Keep up the good work and get recognized.

Thanks again and I'll see you all on the tables.

Here is to hoping you have a wonderful Holiday Season.  After my vacation, not only was I stuffed from all the food, but my desk was stuffed with things I want to do.  So while I was gone we built up four weeks of standings.  Within a couple days all envelopes were collected, money was deposited, and standing were updated.  Thanks to all that help make that happen.  Now you can check out how you have been doing while you fill yourselves with holiday food.

There are a few issues.  We still have some makeup games that need to be scheduled.  And a couple forfeits that were not turned in.  These can make the scores look lopsided because the weeks are not right.  It should all work out around 16 weeks, which is when the standings become official.  One week past the half way point is what the league requires to qualify for awards and standings.

On another note, I would like to say thank you for the Tack Shed and their Sunday tournament.  Twenty plus players and it pulls new and old players and helps the league grow as well.  Everyone looked like they were having a great time and no one has to stay and do the long hours for no pay.  Best of both worlds.  We could use more places like this that support pool and the players.
