Mark has informed me that he has contacted all captains about the issues we are having with the team drops this season. It has been voted on and decided that the league will end at the half way point. That is 4/10/2017. This is the date of the last games for the Scotch Doubles league. This will let us start again and reset the schedule rather then having to deal with all the byes and forfeits. This leaves a lot of players out every week and we all wan to play. The schedule has been changed with teams moving and the new end of schedule. Please check to make sure you know where you are playing. As soon as we have and end of season date and place we will post it for the players.
They may be missing a couple make up games but there are standings for the Scotch Doubles posted on the website. We are only a third of the way through. Makeup games have to be played. And, there are two forfeits and a bye. These things could all change the scores drastically before the end of the season. Thank you for your patience and there will be more coming soon.
I know lots of you are waiting to hear how you are doing on Monday night. There has been a few things to keep the standings from coming out. First, there were a lot of make up games and Mark doesn't want to put out standings that are not correct. Without a couple matches the standings mean nothing. Second, our secretary has been in surgery and recovering. I know we are all wishing her well. And hope she is feeling better soon. I am sure she will get us some standings as soon as she is up an around. We are all pulling for you Get Better Soon!
Mark just notified me that Mike and Lila have dropped out of the Monday Night Jack and Jill Scotch Doubles league. All games they have played, six, will be rolled back to forfeits. Until the end of the first half of the season, any team that was scheduled to play them will receive a forfeit if you pay for your match. They will be replaced by BYEs for the second half of the season. If you play in the league, make sure and check the schedule before you go to your Monday night match as it might have changed,
Mark and Debbie have not released official standings because there are two makeup games that need to be played before the standing can be even close to official. Mark is using standard BCAPL rules for this league but it is not sanctioned. It also means that the standings are not official until week nine because the BCAPL requires 8 week for a player to qualify. There is also a bye, so it will take players 9 or more weeks to qualify.
